UNDER THE HAMMER!
Flew in from Nasik on the 5th evening after the shoot, to Goa – landed and got directed (by mistake) to Preity’s room! Reached there and I met her after the Unforgettable Tour. So we caught up – she welcomed Raj and me onboard and told me about some do’s and don’ts. Considering she’s a seasoned player now (it’s her second season), I took it seriously. Did some homework for the next day. The 6th was an important day, I was clueless as what to expect and how to go about it, but at dinner my partners, Manoj Badale and Suresh Chelaramani (co-owners of Rajasthan Royals) put me at ease saying – just sit back and enjoy it.
Come 6th, I was all ready looking forward to this whole new experience and there is so much I learnt. The behind-the-scenes was amazing to watch, the strategies of different teams, poker faced owners while bidding and people bidding even if they didn’t want to buy a player just to raise the stakes. Everyone had their eyes on Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen , and having one of them on our side would’ve been great because of my England connection! The funniest sight was to see my dear friend, Vijay Mallya when Kevin Pietersen’s name was up for auction. His bidding torch was on permanently and hell hath no fury if anyone got in his way. But, we had only 2 slots and we were happy we got what we really wanted, Shaun Tait (one of the fastest bowlers of the world) and Henderson (an all rounder). All went well and I spoke to Shane Warne, our captain. He was happy with the choice of players, said he was looking forward to playing this season – was so excited with the going-ons. What was also great to see was the camaraderie between all the Team Owners. All of us had one thing in common, all wanted to have fun and ALL WANTED TO WIN!! 
There hasn’t been a better amalgam of glamour and sports before this, which is why it worked the first time around. This time IPL will be bigger and better, going to make sporting history in India. Can’t wait till it kicks off! Halla Bol!

Again, I’ll be the first to comment here. Thanks for sharing what you went through at the IPL auction. I watched it in news and saw how your group tried getting Tyron Henderson even as the Deccan Chargers relentlessly raised the stakes! I’m happy that you’re happy about the way the auction went (I still don’t know who all are playing in your team) and hope the Rajasthan Royals win again. But, you never know, so I’ll just wish you best of luck (again)!
PS- I don’t see you responding to any comment. It would really help if you did so.

All i can say wow is it you ? really cannot believe that i m writing in to shilpa channel oops shilpa blog but nice to know that you did this for your fans.
SO you are into cricket too , miss this is the way shilpa channel goes on . I am a gr8 fan of u, especially i like ur role from the movie dhadkaan.
I dont know whether u replied to our comments or not but if u could write few words abour our comment , we really feel that our wishes are also fulfill.
Now come to this blog, all i can say - ” From now cricket will become history because the gorgeous lady comes in to it and best of luck for your team”. I have seen you in the IPL auction , i dont know why u bid for them , u just call them , they came in to ur team, — just kidding.

Great to hear the bidding went well. It’s a shame that you couldn’t get Flintoff or Pieterson, but Shaun Tait and Tyron Henderson are really good players too! All the best for the IPL, Rajastan Royals to win again!

Frankly I would not of bought neither of those players. while tait might be the fast his also easy to hit to the boundry…. If you really dont think so , take note of the up coming series between SA And AUS. But you do have a talented team with the likes of warni as captain.Gosh i was nervous typing this =) to think i’m conversing with one of the most talented and beautifull women in the world!!!

Anyway there is more bad news about Jade today maybe u have heard
the doctors have said they are unable to stop her cancer spreading and she has only one month to live, she has been sent home to spend remaining time with her family….
