Sorry guys for not blogging for the last few days, been travelling and in Kimberly was staying in a guest house, considering there is just one good hotel there and 3 teams were staying there. Now on my way back… it’s been a hard 2 days considering we lost 2 matches… We were looking really good after the win with the Royal Challengers… was looking forward to getting Shane Watson back, till we heard he wasn’t gonna join us cause he’s injured his groin! So that was the first piece of bad news, next Warne’s hamstring was playing up, and then today Graeme was called out on an unfair appeal. It was clear that luck wasn’t on our side and that’s a prerequisite in the 20-20 matches. Today was an important match, Deccan played well and they deserved to win. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next 3 games that decide who goes into the Semis. Being the positive person I am, I still want to believe its happening for the best, and we’ll be back with a bang. Thanks for the continued support guys… Lets Halla Bol! ![]()

Am an ardant fan of Warne. In fact, he has been a great source of inspiration to me ever since I have started playing cricket for my school. I have the same action as Warne’s. Am so happy to see Warne play again. Last year, your team’s win did not make me happier after the IPL victory. AM thankful to you for creating such a brilliant team. Also, am happy to know that many players get to share their dressing room with the greatest spinner of cricket, Shane Warne. His expertise would certainly help a lot of the youngsters. Cheers to RR and you. And ya, do not worry. RR will surely come back with a bang. Wish you and the team all the best, only the best and always the best.

Hi Shilpa,
I don’t think the sole concern should zero in on luck, albeit it could be one. I think many of the guys in RR has lost their morale, and does not appear either committed or focussed. I am afraid the inspirational captain’s motivating words are not impacting the minds of a few.
At the outset, the team must reiterate its belief on its capabilities. It should not be the responsibility of one or two guys to see the team through. Each and every player must be pellucid about his role and shoulder his responsibility. The team should break the shell of defence tactics and commence attacking right from the very first ball.
Why the team is so cautious in the initial overs? Why don’t the team try and get the maximum out of the restricted overs? [It appears the only "mantra" of the team is to save wickets during the intitial overs] Why Munaf was not given an extra over or two when he had bowled one beautifully, in the last match [With no qualms, he needs to be more committed. But remember, he played the match only as a bowler] Why S Trivedi is relied on too much, when he is neither confident nor delivering anything effectively, except the slow ones?
Ask the guys to believe in themselves. Belief, confidence, perseverance etc. are a few words that could create wonders in anyone’s life.
My sincere wishes to the team I admire the most..
