Hey guys, sorry haven’t blogged for the last 5 days ‘cause it’s been quite a rollercoaster ride. Just lost our last game and our chance of getting into the semi finals! The Royals started off with 2 sixes and then…we kept losing wickets and we made a 101. One of our lowest scores! But then after KKR came in to bat, the tables had turned so fast cause the Royals bowled really well…there was a ray of hope cause they were just 37 runs and 4 wickets down after the first ten overs. But after the 18th over things changed in their favor and they won. Must say it seemed we would lose earlier but the Royals gave them a hard time even making that low score. What’s sad is we could’ve won this one but that’s cricket. So unpredictable! Anyway Cest la vie, you lose some u win some… Loved the journey thus far. We still put up a brave front despite an incomplete team, hopefully next year we’ll have Sohail Tanvir and Shane Watson back. Let’s see who reaches the finals. I reckon it will be a Delhi Vs Chennai final… let’s wait and watch. Adios for now will write soon.
PS… Thanks for all the support nevertheless, to all those Royal fans we will be back with a bang next year!

Hi Shilpa, I as a RR fan, got really disappointed after that loss against KKR. But they have tried a lot and gave their best to turn the same in their favour. To some extent they had done it but i must say tough luck this time for RR. HATS OFF and STANDING OVATION to shane warne, for doing outstanding job, and his team for respecting their skipper and delivering the way he was wanting them to deliver. guys were OUTSTANDING.
Tough luck Shilpa, we know in next season RR will rock again.

Shilpa!
I’m miserable.. I really wanted us to make it to the final stages.. cz we desrved to.. after the way we managed to stay in the competition right till the last match despite a depleted team and so much of ill-luck (actions getting reported, bad umpiring decisions and what not).. And after all the trophy is ours to defend!
Nonetheless, we fought well.. and made a MARK on IPL 2009 too!
And whoever wins this year.. will onlt take the trophy home after ‘upholding our name and achievement’ that is engraved on it forever!
But listen, the main purpose behind writing to you today is.. I wanted you to sound a suggestion to Lalit Modi.. (I by no means having ne access to him!
:D ) .. I was just thinking of how wonderful (and rightful!) it would be if the reigning champions present the IPL trophy to their successors every year.. in the match presentation ceremony.. you know.. something like in the beauty pageants..
With the rest of our team in the background.. wish this could happen.. please try noe Shilpa..
It would be most befitting.. besides, IPL being the marriage between cricket and entertainment that it is.. it would up the entertainment quotient too.. people will love it.. ‘from one champion to the other’.. Please do do do do do suggest this to Lalit Modi.. maybe the idea hasn’t struck him yet.. and I’m sure he’ll be all for it..
Wow! Warnie presenting the trophy!
And ah..another thing I just remembered.. there are many rumours doing the rounds these days especially among RR fans.. that Warnie won’t captain us next year. ie to say.. though he has a three year contract which ends next year, he will only continue in the capacity of coach, but won’t play..
Please temme it’s not true! All he needs is to remain fit and practice a bit of cricket.. infact I hope you guys at the helm of the decision making in RR are planning on renewing his contract after 2010 too.. please dun let go of him! RR is not half-RR without him..
I hope you do read through this painfully long comment of mine.. and get the ‘presentation ceremony’ idea accepted somehow..
I know no other means to get it across to the ‘powers who be’..
Rest, cheers and Halla bol!
PS : I know how rotten you must’ve felt (you loked visibly upset!) to be so close yet so far.. (mohali lost yesterday which means WE HAD BUT MADE IT!) .. I cried cried and cried after after the 18th over was bowled.. But nvm..
We’ll have our name engraved on the trophy next year too! **Faith!**

i am a songwriter.do u think i have any chance as a lyricist for indian films?below is a ghazal i wrote recently:
khaaron ke rukh par ghunchon ki laali thi
jab chaman ujdaa to bahaar aaney waali thi
woh doodhiya aariz pay raat jaisi zulfain
usskay husn ki har adaa misaali thi
ik shakhs kya gaya, saara jahaan udaas kar gaya
usskay baghair har mehfil khaali khaali thi
woh bewafaa tha,aur usski jafaa aam thi
aur yehi baat hum nay baat baat main taali thi
dil uss say jaa laga,ya khudaya, kya kahiyey?
jisska har lafz nashtar, jisski har nigaah sawaali thi
yeh judaai ka dard kaisey haqeeqat ka rang pakad gaya?
woh ghadi do ghadi ki mulaqaat to khayaali thi
ab bhi yaad aa jaata hai mohabbat ka woh zamana AADIL
jab lahu main garmi thi, aur umar baali thi xxxxxxxxxxxx

hi,
yeah RR bowled really well but they should’ve planned a strategy for charl langeveldt while they were batting. Some early wickets and any team is under pressure.I am really loking forward to see watson and tanvir play in the next season(also hoping that modi lifts the ban on pakistan players).Hope RR win ipl3.
cheers
